Arizona Felonies

Felonies are criminal offenses in Arizona. Felonies are the most serious type of crime you can be charged with as they can carry prison time, probation, fines and other serious consequences. Additionally, a felony conviction can cause you to forfeit your civil rights such as the right to vote or the right to own a firearm. Class 1 Felony:

Arizona Class 1 Felonies are the most serious charges you can be facing. If convicted of a Class 1 Felony you will be facing a sentence of life in prison or death. These Felonies are typically reserved for Murder and Homicide related crimes.

Class 2 Felony:

Arizona Class 2 Felonies are serious charges. If convicted of a Class 2 Felony (no priors) you will be facing a prison sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

A few common Class 2 Felonies include: Drug Trafficking, Serious Assaults and Sexual Assaults.

Class 3 Felony:

Arizona Class 3 Felonies are serious charges. If convicted of a Class 3 Felony you will be facing a prison sentence of up to 7 years in prison.

A few common Class 3 Felonies include: various types of burglary, assaults and theft.

Class 4 Felony:

Arizona Class 4 Felonies are serious charges. If convicted of a Class 4 Felony you will be facing a prison sentence of up to 3 years in prison.

A few common Class 4 Felonies include: Aggravated DUI, Drug Possession (meth and dangerous drugs), various assaults and theft.

Class 5 Felony:

Arizona Class 5 Felonies are serious charges. If convicted of a Class 5 Felony you will be facing a prison sentence of up to 2 years in prison.

A few common Class 5 Felonies include: Drug Possession/Sale (marijuana), various assaults and theft.

Class 6 Felony:

Arizona Class 6 Felonies are the least serious charge you can be facing and still have it be a felony. The one benefit to a Class 6 is that it sometimes can be later dropped down to a misdemeanor if you successfully complete your sentence. If convicted of a Class 6 Felony you will however still be facing a prison sentence of up to 1 1/2 years in prison.

A few common Class 6 Felonies include: Aggravated DUI (child in the car), Drug Possession for personal use (marijuana), Drug Paraphernalia various assaults and theft.
